3.4 Electricalconnection
Ourunitsarenormallysuppliedwiththeelectricalmoto
rsalreadycabledandthewiresareavailableoutsideoftheunitminimizingthe
labour on site. In case of particular motor versionsor if the electrician is willing to re‐wire all, please findbelow the procedure to
follow.Inordertoconnectthemotorofthefans,itisnecessa
rytogoinsidetheupperbody,throughitsinspectionmanholes,seefig.

Introducetheconnectioncabletilltheterminalbox,throughtheholesavailableinthecasing.
Capturethecabletooneofthepipesthatcomposesthemotorsupport,bymeansofclamps.Seefig.8.

Tomaketheconnectionofthemotors(andalsoofthefansandtheelectricalpump)thefollowingmeasureshavetobeconsidered:
• Before connecting themotorterminals tothemains, make sure thattheterminal voltageshownonthe motorplate is the
sameasthemai
nsvoltage.
• Makesurethatmotorterminalsaretightenedsecurelyandthatallstrippedwiresarecarefullyinsulatedinordertocarryout
theconnection.
• Checkthattherotationdirectionofthefanisthesameasthedirectionofthearrowsavailableonthediffuser.
• Wer
ecommendthatthemainssup plylinetothemotorshouldbeprotectedwithwellcalibratedthermal relaysandfuses.
Please remember that in across‐the‐line starting, a squirrel cage motor needs an intensity 6 to 7 times higher than the
nominalone.
• Makesurethelocalelectricalsafetyreg
ulationsinforcehavebeenrespected.
3.5 Otherdetailsfortheinstallation
• Check and remove any material or element which has been part of the packing, and could be still joined to or inside the
tower.
• Connectbothexternalpartsofthepipe.
